In planning every journey, our first thoughts invariably include imagining what we will eat. Upon our return, our most persistent memories are of the quality of the food and the hospitality we experienced. Together, in addition to pioneering the promise and satisfying conclusion of the journey, we are making the journey itself feel like home, regardless of its duration.
We often take the simple sophistication of the typical Earth kitchen for granted. However, safely replicating those functions in zero- and low-gravity closed environments requires radically new capabilities. By jointly developing SATED, we can leverage these capabilities to benefit space research, manufacturing, and STEM education, ultimately enhancing life on Earth.
